Notice of School Board Director Vacancy
The Wahluke School District Board of Directors is seeking qualified applicants to fill a vacancy on the Board.
Position: School Board Director
Term: June 1,2026 through December 31,2027
District: 3 Starting at the intersection of the northern school district boundary and Highway 243. Southerly on Highway 243 and Road 24 SW. East on Road 24 SW to R SW South on R SW to Road 26 SW. West on Rd 26 SW to Highway 243. Southerly on Highway 243 to Columbia Blvd. West and southwest on Columbia Blvd to Desert Aire Dr. SW. Meandering southerly, westerly, northwesterly, and again southerly on Desert Aire Dr SW to Airport Way SW. Southwest and southeast on Airport Way SW to Clubhouse Way. Southerly and westerly on Clubhouse Way to Desert Aire Dr SW. Meandering southerly, esterly, northeasterly, southeasterly, and again esterly to Highway 243. Southerly and easterly on Highway 243 to the eastern border of Section 08, Township 13, Range 24E. South on the eastern border of said section to the school district boundary. Counter-clockwise on the school district boundary to the point of the beginning.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be:
A registered voter
A resident of the school district (and director district/zone, if applicable)
Responsibilities:
School board directors are responsible for setting district policies, adopting budgets, and providing oversight to ensure high-quality education for all students.
