WAHLUKE EQUITY AND LEADERSHIP TEAM: Wahluke Equity Leadership (WEL) Team: Last school year the newly formed WEL Team - Wahluke Equity and Leadership Team was led by 30 staff & admin. This group met twice a month throughout the entire 2020-21 school year and was able to complete book study and have deep conversations around equity and equity in education. Some of this team’s work helped lead to reinstituting our Staff Bus Tour and our belief statement, “Empowering and inspiring students for all opportunities in life with equity, kindness & belonging.”
This year, the WEL team will look to expand by adding students and parents, to gain a bigger perspective and continue to navigate the district's equity journey. For more information about the WEL Team read the WEL Team Newsletter here.
