This month, our Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons will come from our Character Strong curriculum. October is Bullying Prevention Month, and with our TK and Kindergarten students, we are learning what bullying means — hurtful, repeated behavior — and what to do if they are being bullied or see someone else being bullied. Students are practicing the steps Stop, Support, and Report to know how to respond safely and kindly. Our objective is for students to learn what bullying is, understand how to get help, and discover ways to make our school a safe and caring place for everyone. Through an engaging, whole-group game, students will help Sol create a Kind Classroom, reinforcing teamwork, empathy, and kindness.
