Wahluke High School CTE and Gear Up team are hosting an Outdoor Career and College Fair on April 22nd from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the WHS parking lot.
College and University representatives, military recruiters, and the Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee (AJAC) will be in the high school.
The junior high students will be out to visit with the guest professionals between 8 - 10. All students will have "passports" with basic questions to ask 3 professionals, and to prompt further career exploration.
The Washington Air National Guard and Airlift NW will both be flying helicopters and landing on the soccer fields. Keep in mind that it is entirely possible that Airlift NW may be called out for an emergency and will need to leave Wahluke.
In addition to notifying staff (and front office staff) it is really important to notify students and families, and to minimize anxiety in the community.
Due to Friday being an 1/2 day, this event is limited to the secondary schools.
