During the last week of the 21st Century Summer Program, participating students learned about "Trash Art."
Students created art pieces out of cardboard and ribbons. Stace Sprinkle, 21st Century Site Coordinator for MSSE, wanted to share this message - "I would like to thank each of the students who participated as well as our paras and teachers. It was a fun and creative six weeks! I hope to see you, kids, back for the school year program."
It's safe to say that the 21st Century Summer Program was an excellent experience for all!

Durante la última semana del Programa de Verano de 21st Century, los estudiantes participantes aprendieron sobre "Trash Art" "Arte de Basura".
Los estudiantes crearon piezas de arte con cartón y cintas. Stace Sprinkle, coordinadora de sitio de 21st Century para MSSE, quería compartir este mensaje: "Me gustaría agradecer a cada uno de los estudiantes que participaron, así como a nuestros asistentes y maestros. ¡Fueron seis semanas divertidas y creativas! Happy Monday MSSE! Today's 21st Century Summer Program session consisted of learning about different ways other countries celebrate their independence days. Students are also be learning about a real artist each week and creating art based on that artist’s style.

PARENTS! Please know we are testing for language starting next week February 15 and testing through March 11. While every student will not test every day, and the testing does not take more than an hour or two, we ask that students are well rested and ready for school this next month, and if at all possible please do not take them out of class early. If you need to take a student before the end of the school day please call in the morning to let us know. THANK YOU!

So many fun things going on this week at MSSE! These two students spent their earned PBIS points to learn to make anime drawings!

Join us on Tuesday, January 25th at 4:30 for a Parent Meeting. We will be discussing student activities and ways to keep students engaged and motivated in school.
There will also be free clothing and shoes for anyone interested in taking something home.


5th graders are building ecosystems in science. They are building terrariums and aquariums!



Two hour delay today, January 3! All WSD School will have a 2 hour delay start for Monday January 3rd due to weather. K-5th grades will start school at 10:15 AM and 6th-12th grades will start school at 10:00 AM. There will be no CBTech Buses.

Our 21st Century Robotics Team is getting ready for their competition in December. They are using computers to program the robots. The students have been working really hard and are learning how to work together and make decisions as as a team!
