This past Saturday, our students volunteered at the Mattawa Food Bank! Ms. Brannock says "Volunteering at the food bank was one option for completing our community service hours that my students brainstormed last year. We have a big list in the classroom that we refer back to consistently. My students said they would be more comfortable/willing to go if I set up a day for our class and we went together." An AWESOME 16 students showed up (2 were friends/other students and the rest were Ms. Brannock's WT and ELD students) and worked hard- putting boxes together, loading them carefully with every item listed, some ran between freezers/new boxes to refill empty items, others carried the heavy boxes out to cars, everyone was busy working extremely hard the entire time without one peep of complaining even though it was cold and consistent hard work. We are SO grateful to you for your help and commitment to our community! Way to live the code Warriors! #Respectful #Responsible #Involved #Warriorpride
