Warrior Shoutout to all the students who participated and completed in our WHS Summer Interventions! WHS teachers Mrs. Smith who lead the math intervention class, and Mr. Ibarra, who lead the digi-tool/personal finance intervention class, worked together with the Wahluke Gear Up Team to create and facilitate this initiative. 29 students completed the math intervention support class, and 18 students completed the digi-tool/personal finance intervention support class. These classes were offered through distance learning platforms. All participating students received high school credit. They were a huge success for all! ¡Felicidades a todos los estudiantes que participaron y completaron nuestras intervenciones de verano de WHS! Las maestras de WHS, la Sra. We are pleased to announce that Wahluke High School was awarded the IMLS Accelerating Promising Practices for Small Libraries grant. This money will be used to transform the high school library into a space focusing on communication, collaboration, and creativity. Over the two years of this grant, our plan is to revitalize this space and turn it into a place where students can work with their classmates, get assistance on projects, and let their creativity flow. The application was written and submitted by Tiffany Coulson and Angelica Spreen, our district Technology Integration TOSA, she will oversee the administration of the grant. Wahluke High School was awarded $50,000 the money will be going to remodel the current library, professional development for staff, and additional support for the library. WHS is seeking students that would like to be a part of the Design Committee who want to provide input on how to create a space that promotes and represents the Wahluke community.
