Wahluke Jr. High can be a rough time not only for children, but for parents, as well. With that in mind, Wahluke Jr. High school is starting the Good Friend Reward for simply being an awesome parent. Our first recipient of the Good Friend Reward was Maricruz Zamora. Maricruz was acknowledged for the wonderful efforts she has put forth in raising her son Carlos. The Wahluke Junior High Winter Band concert will be held on Thursday 12/14/2023 at the Wahluke High School auditorium. This will be directly following the Community Winter Festival.

Tuesday: Parent Teacher Conferences. School lunch from 11:30 - 12:00; school from 12 - 2:45; conferences 3 - 7 Wednesday: Parent Teacher Conferences. School lunch from 11:30 - 12:00; school from 12 - 2:45; conferences 3 - 7 Thursday: Parent Teacher Conferences. Conferences form 7:15 - 12; School Lunch from 11:30 - 12; school from 12-2:45pm Friday: No School - Veteran's day. Your student should have brought home a conference time/slip for you. We strive for 100% attendance. You will start with your Warrior Time teacher to sign-in and get needed materials. You will then be able to visit any content teacher you feel you need to.

Tomorrow is the day, the 2023-2024 school year gets started. A couple of reminders: 1. School starts tomorrow at 12:00pm. We will begin serving lunch at 11:30 for those students who would like lunch. Busses will be running 3 hours later than normal. Also students DO NOT NEED SUPPLIES for tomorrow. They can bring them to Open House to put in lockers, or they can bring them on Wednesday. 2. Open house tomorrow from 5-7pm. This is a great time to meet your students teachers and get the see Wahluke Junior High. We also have some important informational paperwork that we need you to fill out and to sign. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow night from 5-7pm!

Wahluke Junior High School staff spent this week in Bellevue. Staff members were attending an intervention workshop by Solution Tree. The work included looking at ways to implement intervention efforts to help our students be more successful in the areas of academics and behavior. Junior high staff attending the training were (L-R) Michael Kantman, Allison Stickney, Nikki Ashby, John Muchlinski, Sarah Marchel and Rachel Greshock.

It's almost time to head back to school!!! FREE vaccine clinic on August 16, from 3-7 pm @ the high school. We are providing a free dinner for those who participate in the clinic. Parents of students moving from 6th grade into 7th need to be aware of the required TDAP vaccine. Please be sure your student has received this before the beginning of the school year or they will be excluded from school until they are up to date on the required vaccines.
